Welcome to the Wales HR Network

The Wales HR Network is the leading network for HR Professionals in Wales. We offer a series of topical HR seminars, events and workshops up and down the country, and host the annual Wales HR Awards to recognise HR excellence in a wide range of sectors.

Developed by Darwin Gray, a leading full service commercial law firm, and Acorn, Wales’ leading specialist recruitment and training agency, the Wales HR Network is the essential platform to stay ahead in HR.

You too can join our Network, free of charge, and benefit from:

  • regular invites to topical seminars throughout Wales
  • the latest information on our annual Awards
  • frequent HR legislation updates through our Wales HR Network newsletters
  • a constant sharing platform to discuss current issues, either by joining our LinkedIn Group or sharing your own blogs and updates on this website

Having delivered HR events for over ten years, we ensure that every event has a dedicated speaker, who is carefully selected to ensure you benefit from non-biased, expert advice. Previous events have seen experts from leading companies such as Royal Mail, the Principality Building Society and the Welsh Government, sharing their professional opinion and experience on issues such as managing absenteeism, dealing with poor performance, and the Apprenticeship Levy.

Our informal seminar approach allows you to not only learn from the speaker but from fellow HR specialists. We invite questions throughout, and encourage interactive group tasks, to ensure you can discuss current concerns and examples to share best practice.

The Wales HR Awards is the flagship event of the Wales HR Network each year, and for those throughout Wales who are charged with delivering the HR functions for their organisations.

On 23rd March this year, the ceremony was hosted by the BBC’s Sian Lloyd at the SSE SWALEC, Cardiff, where we awarded HR professionals and HR teams for their outstanding contributions to HR – it was a fantastic evening celebrating HR excellence across Wales, perfectly complimented by entertainment from the wonderful Only Boys Aloud and WNO Youth Opera.
